Additional information regarding the planned feud between Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar in WWE.

On this week’s episode of WWE RAW After WrestleMania in Los Angeles, California, there was supposed to be a tag team match between Cody Rhodes & Brock Lesnar and The Bloodline (Solo Sikoa & Roman Reigns), but Lesnar attacked Rhodes before the match could begin and continued the assault until the end of the show. According to sources from Fightful Select, WWE officials had altered their original plans for Rhodes on the show, but the attack from Lesnar was always part of the plan.

The feud between Rhodes and Lesnar was reportedly decided upon well before Vince McMahon’s involvement in this week’s show, and Lesnar had known about the creative plans for a month before WrestleMania 39. While it is unclear if all members of WWE’s creative team were aware of the plans, those who did know, including Lesnar, were aware of what was to come. Hints of Lesnar’s upcoming heel turn were reportedly included in his recent feud with Omos, where he avoided interactions and backing out of the ring. The heel turn plans for Lesnar had been laid out a month before this week’s RAW After WrestleMania, including the specific sequence of standing alongside Rhodes before the ambush attack with a F5.
