We Are Wrestling (WAW) respects the intellectual property rights of content creators, photographers, publishers, wrestling promotions and other rights holders.
This policy explains how copyright is handled on our website and how to report material that may infringe copyright.
1. Copyright Ownership
WAW is an independent professional wrestling news, features and community platform.
Original articles, editorial features, graphics, website design and other content created by WAW are protected by applicable copyright laws.
Photographs, videos, promotional materials, trademarks, logos and other third-party content remain the property of their respective owners.
WAW does not claim ownership of third-party intellectual property.
2. Editorial Use of Third-Party Content
WAW covers professional wrestling through news reporting, analysis, commentary, historical features and event coverage.
We may reference or display third-party material where we have permission, a licence or another lawful basis to do so, including applicable copyright exceptions for news reporting, criticism or review.
Where appropriate, we acknowledge original sources and rights holders.
Attribution does not, by itself, establish permission to reproduce copyrighted material.
3. Copyright Infringement and DMCA Notices
WAW takes copyright concerns seriously and reviews reports of potential infringement.
If you believe material published on WAW infringes your copyright, you may submit a written removal request.
We consider requests under applicable copyright laws, including Australia’s Copyright Act 1968 and, where relevant, the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).
4. How to Submit a Copyright Removal Request
Please provide the following information:
- Your full name and contact details, including an email address.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed.
- The exact WAW URL containing the disputed material.
- Evidence or information demonstrating your ownership of the work or authority to act for the copyright owner.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its representative or applicable law.
- A statement confirming the accuracy of your complaint and your authority to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
For a formal US DMCA notification, the statement of accuracy and authority must include the declaration required under penalty of perjury.

Please identify your enquiry as Copyright Removal Request.
5. Our Response to Copyright Complaints
Upon receiving a sufficiently detailed copyright complaint, WAW will review the material and the circumstances of its use.
Where appropriate, we may:
- Remove or disable access to the disputed content.
- Replace or correct imagery, attribution or other material.
- Request additional information from the complainant.
- Contact relevant contributors or third-party providers.
- Reject complaints where the use is authorised or otherwise lawful.
We aim to address legitimate copyright concerns promptly.
6. Disputes and Counter-Notifications
If content you submitted has been removed and you believe this occurred in error, you may contact WAW to request a review.
Please identify the removed material, explain why you believe its removal was mistaken and provide any supporting evidence.
Where formal DMCA counter-notification procedures apply, additional identification, declarations and legal requirements may be necessary.
WAW will assess disputes in accordance with applicable law.
7. Repeat Copyright Infringement
WAW does not knowingly encourage or support copyright infringement.
We may remove content, restrict contributions or terminate access for users who repeatedly infringe the intellectual property rights of others, where appropriate.
8. Third-Party Websites and Embedded Content
WAW may link to or embed content hosted by third-party websites, including wrestling promotions, news publishers, social media platforms and video services.
Content hosted by external providers remains subject to their respective copyright policies and terms.
WAW does not assume ownership of externally hosted content.
9. Policy Updates
We may update this policy to reflect changes in legislation, website functionality or our content practices.
Any changes will be published on this page with an updated revision date.
