About Aaron Wolf

A 2020 Tokyo Olympic judo gold medalist who retired from the sport in June 2025, Wolf claimed judo’s triple crown — All-Japan Championships, World Championships, and Olympic gold in the 100kg division. He made history at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 20, winning the NEVER Openweight Championship in his very first professional wrestling match, submitting EVIL with a triangle choke in just under 13 minutes despite heavy House of Torture interference at the Tokyo Dome. He had trained at the NJPW dojo after signing with the promotion.

Wolf lost the title to Ren Narita in his first defense on February 11 at The New Beginning in Osaka. He avenged that loss at Dominion 6.14, putting Narita away with an Angle Slam to become a two-time NEVER Openweight Champion. House of Torture intervened on Narita’s behalf, but Hontai’s Toru Yano and Konosuke Takeshita offset the interference. Most recently, Wolf teamed with Yuji Nagata and Josh Barnett against House of Torture at Nagata’s Blue Justice XVIII on June 20.
