About Alex Wright
A German former professional wrestler trained by his father Steve Wright, Alex Wright wrestled as “Das Wunderkind” before becoming known for his iconic dance to his techno entrance theme. During his seven-year WCW tenure from 1994 to 2001, he held the Cruiserweight Championship, World Television Championship, and World Tag Team Championship. In 1999, Wright was reimagined as Berlyn, a German trench-coat character who refused to speak English and was accompanied by an interpreter and bodyguard known as The Wall.
Wright is currently the CEO and Chief Executive Officer of New European Championship Wrestling, which he founded. After several years away from wrestling following WCW’s closure, Wright launched The Wright Stuff wrestling school and the promotion New European Championship Wrestling out of Germany.
