About Athena

The “Fallen Goddess” captured the ROH Women’s World Championship on December 10, 2022, defeating Mercedes Martinez at Final Battle, and has not relinquished it since — the longest reign in the title’s history. Her run has surpassed even Bruno Sammartino’s second WWE Championship reign of 1,237 days, and she became the longest-reigning champion of any kind in ROH history on September 15, 2024, surpassing Samoa Joe’s legendary 645-day mark. A blend of high-flying athleticism and technical precision, her O-Face finisher is among the most recognizable in the game. She’s defended across AEW, Stardom, Maple Leaf Pro, and Prestige Wrestling, while main-eventing ROH PPVs including Death Before Dishonor 2023, Final Battle 2023, Final Battle 2024, and Death Before Dishonor 2025.

She is currently in action ahead of her Owen Cup Semifinal against Maya World, and on the June 13 edition of AEW Collision: Summer Blockbuster, Athena defeated Tiara James before continuing her assault after the bell, with Maya World running in to make the save — only for Athena to return and lay her out as well. It marks the third time the “Fallen Goddess” has entered the Women’s Owen Hart Cup Tournament.
