About Bret Hart

Excellence of Execution earned five WWF Championships and two WCW World Heavyweight Championships, establishing himself through Hart Foundation tag team success before splitting into singles competition in 1991. He won the 1994 Royal Rumble with Lex Luger and remains the only two-time King of the Ring, while co-headlining multiple pay-per-views as part of an acclaimed rivalry with Stone Cold Steve Austin from 1996 to 1997. He is the first wrestler inducted three times into the WWE Hall of Fame: individually in 2006, as a Hart Foundation member in 2019, and in 2025 when his Submission match with Stone Cold at WrestleMania 13 became the inaugural Immortal Moments inductee.

Currently an Ambassador for World Wrestling Entertainment, Hart remains actively engaged in wrestling discourse through interviews and appearances. He is set to receive the 2026 Lou Thesz Award, the Cauliflower Alley Club’s highest accolade, at its 60th annual reunion in Las Vegas, with his niece Natalya presenting him with the honor. A new biography titled The Era of the Hitman will be published by ECW Press in 2026, compiled from over 25 hours of interviews Hart conducted.
