Buff Bagwell
About Buff Bagwell
Buff Bagwell rose to prominence in World Championship Wrestling from 1991 to 2001, where he captured the WCW World Tag Team Championship five times. His early career breakthrough came as one-half of The American Males with Scotty Riggs, and he later joined the New World Order faction in late 1996. Known for his muscular physique, charisma, and signature catchphrases, Bagwell became one of wrestling’s most memorable personalities. His brief WWE tenure in 2001 ended after a poorly received match with Booker T.
Bagwell is now a retired professional wrestler. He had his right leg amputated and received the Cauliflower Alley Club’s Men’s Wrestling Award in 2024, an honor that celebrated his career impact and personal recovery journey. Since 2021 he has run a podcast called Rebuilding Buff.
