A founding pillar of Los Ingobernables de Japón since November 2015, the masked junior heavyweight spent over a decade as one of NJPW’s most recognizable midcard fixtures — winning the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship in 2016, the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team titles with Shingo Takagi at Wrestle Kingdom 13, and collecting five NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Championship reigns alongside stablemates EVIL, SANADA, and others. His black mist, tope suicida, and revolving collection of hand-painted masks became genuine LIJ merchandise staples throughout his run.

After NJPW granted his release in April 2025, BUSHI worked his final match for the promotion on May 4 at Wrestling Dontaku in Fukuoka, tagging with Naito, Takagi, and Hiromu Takahashi in an eight-man sendoff. He subsequently formed Los Tranquilos de Japón with Tetsuya Naito as a freelancer, and the duo have since captured the GHC Tag Team Championship in Pro Wrestling NOAH, where they remain active champions heading into 2026.
