Allin successfully summited Mount Everest on May 18, 2025, then captured the AEW World Championship with a 2 minutes 15 seconds victory over MJF at Spring BreakThru, setting the record for quickest title win in company history. He successfully defended his title against Tommaso Ciampa, Brody King, Kevin Knight, Pac, Konosuke Takeshita, Sammy Guevara, and "Speedball" Mike Bailey before losing it back to MJF in a Title vs. Hair match at Double or Nothing on May 24, ending his reign at 39 days. Allin holds two AEW TNT Championships and the AEW World Tag Team Championship once with Sting, earning recognition for his high-risk, unorthodox in-ring style rooted in punk and skateboarding culture.
At Double or Nothing, his body gave out on him as his body broke down during the match before MJF delivered an avalanche tombstone piledriver to reclaim the title. After the match, Darby was loaded onto a stretcher, and while Kevin Knight appeared to make the save, he then turned against Allin by giving him a UFO splash from the top rope onto the stretcher.
