The most defining chapter of the Australian big man’s career came through Chase University, where his chemistry with Andre Chase and Thea Hail made him a genuine NXT fan favorite. At NXT Halloween Havoc 2023, Hudson and Chase dethroned Tony D’Angelo and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo to capture the NXT Tag Team Championship, though the reign lasted just 21 days before The Family reclaimed the titles. Earlier in his NXT run, Hudson headlined a high-profile feud with Cameron Grimes, suffering a Hair vs. Hair defeat at NXT WarGames 2021.
Hudson has since revealed that Shawn Michaels stepped in several times to prevent his release during his six-year run with the company, but even HBK’s backing couldn’t hold off the January 2025 cut. He returned to the ring in April 2025 at ROW Pay Up! under the name Duke Hanson, and has been vocal on the independent circuit and in podcasting, including discussing the Chase U disbandment alongside former stablemate Andre Chase.
