A three-time AEW Women’s World Champion whose first reign stretched a record 372 days, Shida built her reputation in AEW on stiff offense rooted in her real-life kendo background, having reached third-dan in the discipline. She also held the TBS Championship, losing it to Mercedes Mone at AEW All Out before her final 2024 AEW appearance, a loss to Kris Statlander on Dynamite in November.
After working through much of 2025 navigating visa issues, she was absent from AEW programming throughout the year before making her return. Now fully back, her best recent win came against Mina Shirakawa on the April 22, 2026 Dynamite, and she has since qualified for AEW’s first-ever Survival of the Fittest match — a multi-woman bout with the vacant TBS Championship on the line — by defeating Zayda Steel on the June 13 Collision: Summer Blockbuster.
