A former NXT Women's Champion and NXT Women's Tag Team Champion alongside Candice LeRae, the Melbourne native built her early reputation tearing through Australia's independents before a five-year WWE run defined by The Way stable and the beloved InDex storyline. After leaving WWE in 2024, she wasted no time in TNA, climbing the Knockouts division ranks by defeating former titleholders such as Tessa Blanchard and Tasha Steelz, and triumphed over Dani Luna and Jody Threat in a triple threat to earn a Knockouts World Title shot at Bound for Glory.

She officially re-signed with TNA, with Director of Authority Santino Marella making the announcement on the May 14 episode of Impact — the conclusion of a weeks-long on-screen contract negotiation. Her match with Elayna Black on the May 21 episode never reached a proper conclusion due to outside interference, hinting at a larger rivalry taking shape, as Hartwell has made clear her singular goal remains winning the TNA Knockouts World Championship.
