Jake Roberts
About Jake Roberts

The legendary Jake “The Snake” Roberts built his reputation during two prominent stints in the World Wrestling Federation between 1986-1992 and 1996-1997, where he became one of professional wrestling’s most iconic figures known for his intense and cerebral promos, dark charisma, and extensive use of psychology in matches. Roberts is credited as the inventor of the DDT, and often brought snakes into the ring, including a boa constrictor named Damien and a de-venomed cobra named Lucifer. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2014 and the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2020.
Roberts is a retired professional wrestler currently signed to All Elite Wrestling, where he serves as a special advisor for AEW’s community outreach program, AEW Together. He is also signed to WWE under a legends contract. In recent years, Roberts has experienced a career resurgence thanks in part to his involvement with All Elite Wrestling as a manager and mentor.
