About Johnny Gargano
A first-time NXT Triple Crown winner, Gargano became known as “The Heart and Soul of NXT” by claiming the NXT Championship once, the NXT North American Championship three times, and the NXT Tag Team Championship with Tommaso Ciampa as part of #DIY. The pair reunited to win the WWE Tag Team Championship in July and December 2024 before Ciampa’s departure in January 2026. Gargano remains signed to WWE on the SmackDown brand. After transitioning to singles competition, he returned to NXT in March 2026 to challenge for the North American Championship but came up short against Myles Borne.
