Jun Kasai

Dubbed the Crazy Monkey for his violent and often self-harmful style of hardcore wrestling, Kasai is considered a breakthrough talent in Japanese wrestling, able to work both hardcore and technical styles. Kasai has participated five times in an extremely bloody Razor Deathmatch, a hardcore match where boards are fitted with many razor blades. In 2009, he co-founded Pro Wrestling Freedoms alongside Takashi Sasaki, becoming one of the promotion’s cornerstone figures and primarily competing there in deathmatch bouts.

After 28 years of fighting, bleeding, suffering, and thriving, Kasai earned his place in the most prestigious tournament in New Japan Pro Wrestling’s junior heavyweight division, NJPW Best of the Super Jr.’s. He primarily competes for Pro Wrestling Freedoms, where he continues to headline major deathmatch events and remains a respected figure in the hardcore wrestling landscape.
