About Kofi Kingston

One of the most electrifying high-flyers in WWE history, Kingston burst onto the scene in 2007 and established himself as one of WWE’s premier aerial performers, racking up Intercontinental, United States, and Tag Team Championships along the way. He cemented his legacy when he defeated Bryan Danielson to win the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 35 in the iconic “KofiMania” moment. As part of The New Day alongside Big E and Xavier Woods, Kingston held multiple tag team championships and became one of the most successful factions in company history.

Kingston and Woods ended their 16-year WWE run on May 2, 2026, mutually departing the company. Both were reportedly among the Superstars asked to sign new contracts with significant pay cuts due to fewer house shows, and they opted to leave rather than accept the new deals. Though unable to sign until their 90-day non-compete expires in late July, Kingston and Woods are expected to become All Elite.
