About Kyle Fletcher

Sydney-born “Protostar” Kyle Fletcher is a former two-time AEW TNT Champion, AEW World Trios Champion (with Kazuchika Okada and Mark Davis), ROH World Television Champion, ROH World Tag Team Champion, and IWGP Tag Team Champion. He spent years alongside fellow Australian Mark Davis as Aussie Open, tearing through the UK and Japan as part of Will Ospreay’s United Empire from 2017 to 2023, before Davis’s wrist injury at WrestleDream left Fletcher to forge a dominant singles career. Aligned with Don Callis, Fletcher’s heel turn against Ospreay launched him into AEW’s main event picture, including a shot at Hangman Adam Page’s AEW World Championship at All Out in September 2025.
Fletcher tore his meniscus and fractured both his ankle and tibia during the March 28 Collision, forcing him to relinquish the TNT Championship on April 8 — ending his second reign at 56 days. He managed to avoid surgery entirely and made his surprise return at AEW Double or Nothing, attacking former stablemate Konosuke Takeshita and kicking him out of the Don Callis Family. Fletcher confirmed he is “100% cleared” to return to action and appears poised for a fresh program heading into mid-2026.
