About Layla
Winner of the 2006 WWE Diva Search, Layla broke in through ECW as part of the Extreme Exposé dance trio alongside Kelly Kelly and Brooke Adams before finding her true calling as one half of LayCool. The mean-girl tandem with Michelle McCool tormented the Divas division relentlessly, with Layla capturing the WWE Women’s Championship in May 2010 — a reign that also made her the belt’s final holder. She added the WWE Divas Championship in April 2012 upon returning from a year-long injury absence, holding it through September of that year.
Her final televised match came on the June 13, 2015 episode of WWE Superstars, a loss to Paige, before she officially announced her retirement on July 29, 2015. Since stepping away, Layla has expressed interest in a LayCool reunion and has floated the idea of a joint WWE Hall of Fame induction with McCool. As of 2025, she continues making appearances at wrestling events and conventions.
