Lio Rush
About Lio Rush
A Maryland-bred speedster who became the youngest NXT Cruiserweight Champion in history, Lio Rush built his reputation as one of the most electrifying small-package workers of his generation. He won the ROH 2016 Top Prospect Tournament, the CZW World Heavyweight Championship, and two CZW Wired Championships before his WWE run, where he also served as the manager and mouthpiece of Bobby Lashley on the main roster. His split-legged frog splash, the Final Hour, became one of the most recognizable finishers on the indies.
Rush returned to AEW in May 2024 and confirmed a new deal with the company at WrestleDream 2024. In March 2026, Blackheart Lio Rush made his full television debut — not merely a darker shade of his old self, but a complete transformation: a bald, unsettling figure with a near-feral presence, black ooze dripping from his mouth as he prowls the ring and refers to himself in the third person. The character is built on discomfort, obsession, and instability, and has made Rush feel more memorable than he has in a very long time.
