Magnum TA

Magnum T.A. won the NWA United States Heavyweight Championship twice during a brief but explosive mid-1980s run with Jim Crockett Promotions. He was being groomed for a potential run with the NWA World Heavyweight Championship, but a car crash in 1986 forced him into retirement. He was inducted in the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2020 as part of the Modern Era wing.

After retiring, Magnum T.A. continued to appear in non-wrestling roles for multiple promotions. Magnum later worked as a commentator for the NWA, UWF, and World Championship Wrestling, and also served as a manager. Today he remains a revered figure from wrestling’s territorial era, with recent appearances at major wrestling events alongside his peers.
