About Michelle McCool

One of the most decorated women in WWE history, Michelle McCool made history by becoming the inaugural Divas Champion in 2008 and unifying that title with the WWE Women’s Championship in 2009 — making history again in 2010 by unifying both titles into the WWE Unified Divas Championship, a title she held twice, totaling four championships in her career. She was ranked number one in Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s Female 50 in November 2010 and retired the following year. Alongside Layla as LayCool, her tandem kept both McCool and Layla on top of the women’s division for years, finishing her signature Faithbreaker on opponents across SmackDown.

After retiring in 2011 due to injuries and a desire to start a family, McCool made occasional returns, including competing in the 2023 Women’s Royal Rumble match. In 2025, she was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, officially inducted by her husband and fellow Hall of Famer, The Undertaker. She also became a coach on Season 2 of the reality show WWE: LFG in June 2025, replacing Mickie James, and won the LFG Championship.
