A veteran of the independent scene since 2007, Mike Santana rose to prominence as one half of Santana and Ortiz, known as Proud and Powerful, dominating tag team divisions across multiple promotions. As a singles competitor, he captured two TNA World Titles and established himself as a centerpiece of the company during its run on AMC, showcasing hard-hitting offense and street-fighting intensity.
Following the expiration of his TNA contract, Santana made his official WWE NXT debut, appearing as a challenger to the promotion's main event scene.
