He defeated Trick Williams at Bound for Glory in October 2025 to win his first TNA World Championship, before losing it to Frankie Kazarian in November, then reclaiming the title on January 15, 2026 on Impact’s AMC debut. Now a two-time TNA World Champion, Santana actively defends the title while being featured on WWE NXT as part of the TNA-WWE partnership. He defends the TNA World Championship against Nic Nemeth at Slammiversary on June 28, with his contract reportedly set to expire in mid-July and rumors suggesting WWE interest in bringing him to the main roster before the end of 2026.
