About Motor City Machine Guns
Widely regarded as one of the greatest tag teams of all time, they are the first and only team to have won championships in NJPW, ROH, TNA, and WWE. Motor City Machine Guns signed with WWE in 2024, where they quickly won the WWE Tag Team Championship. The team was named Tag Team of the Year in 2010 by both Pro Wrestling Illustrated and The Baltimore Sun. After originally forming in Pro Wrestling Zero1 in 2006, Shelley and Sabin won the TNA World Tag Team Championship once and the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship before Shelley retired in 2018.
Shelley and Sabin departed WWE in April 2026. Following the end of their 90-day non-compete clause, the pair remain free agents and are currently teasing their next destination through social media while industry reports suggest eventual involvement with a major promotion.
