About Nick Wayne
Third-generation product of the Wayne wrestling family — grandson of Moondog Ed Moretti, trained by his father Buddy Wayne — Nick Wayne debuted at just 12 years old in 2018 and fast-tracked to AEW, where he turned heel at WrestleDream 2023, betraying Darby Allin to side with Christian Cage and cementing his place in The Patriarchy. He became the youngest champion in AEW history by capturing the Trios title at 19, and is also a former ROH World Television Champion — again the youngest to hold that belt.
The Patriarchy storyline peaked at All In Texas on July 12, 2025, when Wayne turned on Christian Cage alongside Kip Sabian, shifting toward solo opportunities. Wayne subsequently suffered a broken foot but returned on the February 26, 2026 episode of ROH Wrestling. He lost the ROH TV title to AR Fox at ROH Supercard Showdown on May 9. Wayne has also competed in NJPW’s Best of the Super Juniors in both 2025 and 2026, notably scoring a win over IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion El Desperado during the 2025 tournament.
