About Queen Aminata
Guinean-born Aminata Sylla has carved out a rising profile in AEW and ROH since debuting in 2017 on the independent circuit in Ohio. She wrestled in Japan for various promotions, including Sendai Girls, in 2020, before earning a full-time AEW deal in early 2024. Known for a hard-hitting, strike-heavy style, she reached the final of the inaugural ROH Women’s World Television Championship tournament, defeating Taya Valkyrie and Red Velvet before falling to Billie Starkz at Supercard of Honor. She has also challenged for both the ROH Women’s World Championship, coming up short against Athena at Death Before Dishonor, and the AEW TBS Championship, unsuccessfully challenging Mercedes Moné on the October 16 episode of Dynamite.
After revealing a neck injury that sidelined her in November 2025, Aminata returned on the April 8, 2026 Dynamite, unsuccessfully challenging Willow Nightingale for the TBS Championship. She is now back in TBS title contention: on June 24, 2026 Dynamite, she defeated Red Velvet to advance in the TBS Title Survival of the Fittest, booking her spot in the first-ever AEW Survival of the Fittest match, set for July 1 Dynamite, to determine the vacant TBS Championship’s next holder.
