One of wrestling’s most cerebral and compelling figures, Raven — real name Scott Levy — built his legend on an Edgar Allan Poe-inspired grunge persona that turned personal pain into psychological warfare, earning two ECW World Heavyweight Championship reigns and a defining rivalry with Tommy Dreamer and The Sandman. He also captured the NWA World Heavyweight Championship during his TNA run and holds the record for most reigns as WWE Hardcore Champion, with 39 total. In 2022, he was inducted into the Impact Wrestling Hall of Fame by Tommy Dreamer.

Now in his 60s, Raven still gets in the ring on occasion on the independent scene, though he long ago stepped away from mainstream pro wrestling. In 2025, he starred in the documentary Nevermore: The Raven Effect, which delves into his wrestling journey, personal battles with addiction and health issues, and lasting influence on the sport, with streaming availability arriving on Amazon Prime Video in November 2025.
