Ronnie Garvin

A Canadian former professional wrestler better known by his ring name “Rugged” Ronnie Garvin, Garvin built his career on hard-hitting work across territorial wrestling and major national promotions. He held the NWA World Heavyweight Championship and became known as “The Man with the Hands of Stone” for his powerful punches and stomps. He is best known for his appearances with Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling and the World Wrestling Federation in the late-1980s and early-1990s.

Ronnie Garvin unofficially retired from wrestling in 2014. His final full match occurred on September 20, 2014, at age 69, when he and Iron Cross defeated opponents in a tag team bout for Bruiser Wrestling Federation in Ohio, capping a career that spanned over five decades. Ronnie Garvin was inducted in the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2019 as part of the Modern Era wing.
