Santino Marella

Santino Marella’s iconic debut came when he won the WWE Intercontinental Championship from Umaga in a surprise upset, earning the moniker “The Milan Miracle.” He went on to become a two-time WWE Intercontinental Champion, one-time WWE United States Champion, and one-time WWE Tag Team Champion. His wrestling style combined solid technical skills with a comedic approach, earning him fan affection during his tenure. Santino officially announced his retirement from in-ring competition on July 6, 2014, after sustaining a third neck injury.

During a July 2025 edition of WWE NXT, Marella competed in an NXT North American Championship match against Ethan Page. As he continues to work with TNA and WWE’s NXT brand, Santino Marella remains a beloved figure. He transitioned to TNA/Impact Wrestling as an authority figure while still occasionally wrestling.
