A Navy veteran turned pro wrestler, Capt. Shawn Dean broke into the business in 2017, working the Florida and Georgia indie scene for promotions like WAA4 and ACTION Wrestling before landing in AEW. Now a member of Shane Taylor Promotions and its sub-group The Infantry, Dean is also a former ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champion and works behind the scenes as AEW’s Extras Coordinator. His finisher, the Last Salute — a diving splash — fits the military-inspired persona he’s built his brand around.
Since joining forces with Shane Taylor Promotions in late 2024, The Infantry has faced off against top teams like Paragon, Top Flight, and the Dark Order, with Dean and Carlie Bravo claiming the ROH Six-Man Tag Team Championships alongside Taylor. Despite WWE interest swirling, Dean remains signed to AEW and Ring of Honor, committed to cementing his legacy within Tony Khan’s ecosystem.
