About Steve Austin
The Texas Rattlesnake announced himself to the world with a 1996 King of the Ring victory, where the iconic “Austin 3:16” catchphrase was born. A six-time WWF World Champion, Austin accumulated 19 total title reigns spanning from the Intercontinental Title to the Tag Team Titles, becoming the fifth Triple Crown Champion in company history. He remains the only man to win three Royal Rumbles and headlined three different WrestleManias. His double-turn submission classic against Bret Hart at WrestleMania 13 was named Match of the Year in 1997. Austin was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2009 as an individual, then again in 2025 as part of the inaugural Immortal Moment wing for his match with Hart at WrestleMania 13.
Austin wrestled for the first time in 19 years at WrestleMania 38, defeating Kevin Owens in a No Holds Barred main event. Following that comeback, Austin underwent knee replacement surgery, and plans to appear at both WrestleMania 40 and RAW’s Netflix debut fell through. He did confirm attendance at the 2025 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony on April 18 in Las Vegas. When pressed on a future match, Austin left the door barely open — “Probably not. But never say never.”
