About Tavion Heights

One of the most decorated Greco-Roman amateur wrestlers in U.S. history, Tavion Heights — real name G’Angelo Hancock — brought legitimate Olympic credentials to NXT, having competed at the 2020 Tokyo Games and claimed gold at the 2020 Pan American Championships. He made his WWE debut on NXT Level Up in December 2022, later competing in the 2023 NXT Men’s Breakout Tournament, where he fell to eventual winner Oba Femi in the semi-finals. He turned heel in June 2024 by defeating Damon Kemp to earn a spot in No Quarter Catch Crew, before eventually winning his freedom from the group by surviving Charlie Dempsey’s submission attempts and putting him away with a belly-to-belly suplex.

Heights is now headed to WWE NXT Great American Bash to challenge his former No Quarter Catch Crew stablemate Myles Borne for the North American Championship. The match was set up after Borne’s faction, Vanity Project, interfered during Heights’ number one contender’s match against Jackson Drake on NXT, prompting Heights to get physical and ultimately earn the title shot at the June 28 Premium Live Event from the Performance Center in Orlando.
