The Godfather

One of the most beloved characters of WWE’s Attitude Era, Charles Wright cycled through several personas — Papa Shango, Kama, and Kama Mustafa — before finding his greatest success as the muscle of The Nation of Domination and then a fan-favorite solo act. Wright holds the WWF Intercontinental Championship and the WWF Tag Team Championship, won alongside Bull Buchanan, and his infectious Ho Train entrance made him one of the era’s most entertaining figures. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame on April 2, 2016, under the Godfather gimmick.

Since retiring from full-time competition, Wright has made sporadic WWE appearances, including the Raw Reunion show in July 2019 and The Undertaker’s retirement ceremony at Survivor Series in November 2020. He remains active on social media and on the indie convention circuit, most recently making headlines off-screen when he publicly accused an Amazon delivery driver of stealing packages from his home.
