The Great Khali

The Great Khali became the first Indian-born world champion in WWE history. He won the vacant World Heavyweight Championship by emerging victorious in a 20-man battle royal on July 20, 2007, establishing himself as a dominant force in WWE’s mid-2000s landscape. Standing 7-foot-1 and weighing 347 pounds, his overwhelming size and intimidating presence combined to make him a unique threat, and he successfully stood tall against celebrated WWE Superstars including The Undertaker, Kane, Big Show, John Cena and Shawn Michaels. He was inducted in the WWE Hall of Fame in 2021.

He last competed in WWE at the Greatest Royal Rumble match in Saudi Arabia in 2018, and since then hasn’t participated in any wrestling match. He is currently a promoter and coach, and is the founder of CWE, a wrestling school he established in Punjab, India to train aspiring wrestlers from his home country.
