Broadcasting pro wrestling since 1983, Schiavone built his legend as the lead voice for WCW’s flagship program, Monday Nitro, and countless pay-per-view events, making him a trusted voice for fans during one of wrestling’s most competitive eras. In 2024, he was presented the prestigious Gordon Solie Award by the George Tragos/Lou Thesz Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame. Among his personal career highlights, he counts calling Sting’s last match upon his return to AEW — a moment that cemented his place in the new era of the business.
He serves as lead announcer on AEW Collision, analyst on AEW Dynamite and pay-per-view shows, and conducts interviews both inside the ring and out across all company programming. On the May 6, 2026 episode of Dynamite, Schiavone and Sting paid tribute to former WCW owner Ted Turner, with both leading Turner’s ten bell salute. He has been effectively a part of the furniture in AEW since 2019.
