The “Technical Savage” began his career with CWF Mid-Atlantic in 2009 and quickly built one of indie wrestling’s most decorated résumés — winning the PWG World Tag Team Championship with Andrew Everett at DDT4 2015, capturing the Impact X Division Championship three times and the TNA World Tag Team Championship once alongside Brian Myers, and becoming NXT North American Champion and the final Million Dollar Champion during his WWE run as Cameron Grimes. He also captured the AAW Heavyweight title in a three-way match in August 2025.

Released by WWE on April 23, 2024 following a SmackDown loss to Bron Breakker, Lee wasted little time reclaiming his “Trevor Lee” identity on the independent scene. On April 6, 2026, he officially signed with MLW, where he enters with a high-impact style blending finesse and raw physicality — and a noticeably reinvented look, having shed his signature beard and long hair. A MLW Fusion main event opposite Matt Riddle is among his highest-profile bookings since the signing.
