WENDY CHOO
WRESTLER PROFILEABOUT WENDY CHOO
Originally debuting on NXT television in 2020 as Mei Ying, the enigmatic leader of the Tian Sha stable, Karen Yu reinvented herself as Wendy Choo in late 2021 β challenging Mandy Rose for the NXT Women's Championship at NXT In Your House in June 2022 and defeating Tiffany Stratton in a Lights Out match that August. A technical wrestler blending aerial assaults with submission work, her arsenal features the Spring Roll modified Boston crab, a Fujiwara armbar, and a rear naked choke.
After Kendal Grey relinquished the Evolve Women's Championship, Choo β no longer portraying her nightmarish slumber gimmick β won the vacant title by pinning Nikkita Lyons in an eight-woman gauntlet match on the April 15, 2026 episode, marking her first WWE championship. She is the reigning WWE Evolve Women's Champion and currently working the NXT and Evolve brands.
