About Yumiko Hotta

A cornerstone of joshi puroresu, Hotta built her career in All Japan Women’s Pro-Wrestling beginning in June 1985, ultimately becoming a three-time WWWA World Single and WWWA World Tag Team Champion. She embraced a hard-hitting persona built on hellaciously stiff strikes, drawing comparisons to Aja Kong and Dynamite Kansai. In 2003 she took over Arsion and rebranded it as Major Girl’s Fighting AtoZ, running the promotion until it folded in 2006.

She later affiliated with World Woman Pro-Wrestling Diana, leading the villainous Bousou-gun stable, before being named head of the women’s wrestling department for Atsushi Onita’s Fire Puroresu in July 2016 and simultaneously resigning from Diana to return to freelancing. She was also appointed as an advisor to Actwres girl’Z in August 2016 and has continued working the Japanese independent circuit since.
