About Zack Sabre Jr
Two-time IWGP Heavyweight Champion and two-time NJPW World Television Champion, Sabre won the 2025 G1 Climax as the second gaijin wrestler to claim the tournament. He reclaimed the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship at Tanahashi Jam in June 2025 before losing it to Konosuke Takeshita at King of Pro-Wrestling. Sabre shifted focus to tag team competition, capturing victory in this year’s World Tag League alongside Ryohei Oiwa. The submission wizard from England is widely considered one of the best technical wrestlers in the world, operating through catch wrestling fundamentals and anatomically devastating holds.
Sabre faces Kenny Omega at AEW Forbidden Door on June 28 from the SAP Center in San Jose, California. He also competes in a tag team match at NJPW Dominion alongside Ryohei Oiwa against Yuya Uemura and Taichi. Leading The Mighty Don’t Kneel (TMDK) stable, Sabre remains NJPW’s premier technical wrestler in active competition.
