AEW rolls into Highland Heights still reeling from PAC’s death, with Wednesday’s Dynamite essentially scrapped to become a three-hour memorial. Tonight’s Collision has the unenviable task of being the first “normal” show post-tragedy, and the roster is going to have to find a way to deliver wrestling that honors what happened without getting swallowed by it. The company needs to move forward without looking callous about it.
AEW Continental Title Eliminator Match
The Continental division needs a serious challenger, and this eliminator is the vehicle to determine who gets a shot. Whoever’s stepping up tonight is walking into a spotlight that could either elevate them or expose them—there’s no in-between in a title eliminator.
WAW Pick: The winner gets a title shot within the next two weeks.
The New Level (w/ Kofi) vs. TBA (Trios Match)
The New Level’s been positioned as serious trios contenders, and keeping them on the card during an emotionally compromised week signals Tony Khan isn’t shelving storylines wholesale. This should be solid tag action that reminds people AEW still does team wrestling better than most.
WAW Pick: New Level gets the clean win.
A surprise appearance or tribute video from someone outside AEW—maybe a current WWE guy—that catches everyone off-guard and creates a moment the internet can’t ignore. Khan’s shown he’s willing to break glass when it matters.
