AEW rolls into Reading tonight with all eyes on the Continental Cup Quarterfinals—a tournament that’s already shaping up to be the midcard story of the summer. Meanwhile, Khan’s got bigger fish to fry with the Dragunov sweepstakes heating up and All In: London less than a week away. Tonight’s Collision feels like the last meaningful breath before the PPV madness takes over.
AEW Women’s World Championship: Willow Nightingale (c) vs. Maya World
Willow’s been quietly crushing it as champ, but Maya World is no cupcake opponent—this is the kind of match that either cements Willow’s credibility or creates a challenger narrative heading into the Wembley stretch. Look for this to hit harder than people expect.
WAW Pick: Nightingale retains clean, sending a statement that her title reign isn’t vulnerable to anyone not named Mercedes or Saraya.
Continental Cup Quarterfinal: Orange Cassidy vs. Kyle O’Reilly
This is the real meat on the card. O’Reilly’s been hunting for his identity post-UE, and Orange Cassidy remains one of the most interesting workers in the company when he’s locked in. Winner advances to semis and keeps their stock climbing in what could be a pivotal tournament run.
WAW Pick: O’Reilly takes it in a stiff, tight affair—he needs the momentum more right now.
Khan drops a surprise announcement about an incoming signing or All In addition during the show. With Dragunov’s contract status still murky and speculation rampant, AEW could use tonight to grab some of that news cycle oxygen before London takes over the narrative entirely.
