Cappuccino Jones has confirmed that he is no longer part of WWE ID, WWE’s independent wrestler developmental program, bringing an end to a two-year association with the initiative.

Jones made the announcement himself on social media on Tuesday, though the news was first reported by Mike Johnson of PWInsider ahead of his public statement. In his post, Jones thanked WWE and said he was grateful for the knowledge and wisdom he gained during his time in the program.

According to WrestleTalk, Jones stated that he had “decided to part ways” with WWE ID after two years in the program, framing the exit as his own decision rather than a release initiated by WWE.

WWE ID was launched as a way for the company to formally affiliate with select independent wrestlers without signing them to full developmental contracts, allowing those talents to continue working dates across the independent scene while also appearing on WWE ID programming and receiving support from the company. Jones’s departure means he is now free to operate entirely outside of that arrangement, returning to the independent circuit without any formal WWE affiliation.

Neither Fightful nor WrestleTalk’s reporting indicates a specific reason for the split beyond Jones’s own characterization of it as a mutual parting, and no further comment from WWE on the matter has been noted in the available reporting. As with other wrestlers who have exited the WWE ID program, Jones’s next steps on the independent scene were not detailed in the initial reports.

The departure adds Cappuccino Jones to the list of names who have cycled through WWE ID since its inception, a program designed to widen WWE’s talent pipeline while keeping those wrestlers active on the indies. His exit comes amid what WrestleTalk described as a busy stretch for roster movement tied to the program.
