TNA’s running hot into Lockdown this weekend with the Knockouts TV Title tournament hitting its critical stage tonight from Philly. The 200K+ viewership floor held last week, but creatively, this feels like the push that determines if Impact can climb back toward those mid-200s numbers heading into the PPV. Tonight’s semifinals are the gateway to main event positioning.
Jada Stone vs. Heather By Elegance β Knockouts TV Title Tournament Semi-Final
This matchup has all the makings of a sleeper hit. Stone’s been the most consistent performer in the tournament’s early rounds, while HBE brings technical precision that could disrupt the narrative. The winner likely faces another finalist at Lockdown for the vacant title.
WAW Pick: Jada Stone advances, but it goes longer than expected and costs her something heading into the final.
Harley Hudson vs. Alisha Edwards
Two workers who understand how to pace a match. This feels positioned as more than just a random Thursday encounter β expect it to either set up a storyline payoff or establish one for post-Lockdown.
WAW Pick: Alisha Edwards takes the clean win, reinforcing her credibility in the tournament conversation.
Rich Swann [Match opponent TBD]
Swann’s been quietly solid. If this is tournament-related, he’s in the conversation. If it’s just a standard Thursday spot, still worth your time.
WAW Pick: Swann gets the victory and stays positioned as a viable mid-card player.
Mustafa Ali cuts a promo tonight that directly addresses his comments about the International Championship’s legitimacy. TNA’s been smart about building Ali as a credible malcontent β expect him to name-drop the current champ and create genuine friction heading into Lockdown weekend. This could be the spark that makes people actually care about Impact’s secondary title scene.
