About AJ Styles

One of the greatest in-ring workers of his generation, “The Phenomenal One” spent 28 years proving it across TNA, NJPW, ROH, and WWE. In TNA alone he captured the TNA World Heavyweight Championship twice, the NWA World Heavyweight Championship three times, and the X Division Championship six times as its inaugural titleholder. In WWE, he claimed two WWE Championships β€” including a legendary 371-day reign β€” and achieved Grand Slam Champion status, all built on jaw-dropping aerial offense and technical precision. He ranked atop the PWI 500 in 2010 and was voted PWI Wrestler of the Year three times between 2016 and 2018.

At the Royal Rumble on January 31, 2026, Styles put his career on the line and lost, leading to his retirement from in-ring competition. GUNTHER emerged victorious after making Styles pass out to the sleeper hold. On the February 23 episode of Raw, Styles gave a farewell address in Atlanta, leaving his trademark gloves and jacket in the ring, before The Undertaker appeared to announce his induction into the WWE Hall of Fame’s class of 2026. His new role with WWE involves scouting talent around the world and mentoring talent in NXT.
