Styles became the cornerstone of TNA, winning the TNA World Heavyweight Championship twice and the NWA World Heavyweight Championship three times, while holding the X Division Championship a record six times. He debuted in WWE at the 2016 Royal Rumble and quickly rose to become a two-time WWE Champion, including one reign lasting 371 days. As a former two-time WWE Champion, Grand Slam Champion with iconic rivalries against John Cena, Roman Reigns, and The Undertaker, Styles established himself as one of wrestling’s all-time greats with technical precision and jaw-dropping aerial offense.
Styles retired from in-ring competition after losing to Gunther at the Royal Rumble on January 31, 2026, with his career concluding through a farewell address in Atlanta on February 23. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame’s class of 2026, and reached a new deal with WWE to remain with the company in a non-wrestling role as a talent scout.
