Konosuke Takeshita
About Konosuke Takeshita

Dubbed “The Future” coming out of DDT, where he became the youngest KO-D Openweight Champion in history on his 21st birthday, Takeshita cemented his elite status by winning the 2025 G1 Climax, defeating EVIL in the finals at Ariake Arena to earn an IWGP World Heavyweight Championship shot. He cashed it in at King of Pro-Wrestling, beating Zack Sabre Jr. for the IWGP title, before dropping it to Yota Tsuji at Wrestle Kingdom 20 in the Tokyo Dome. Known as “The Alpha,” his hard-hitting, physically dominant style translates seamlessly across DDT, NJPW, and AEW.
At AEW Double or Nothing, Takeshita beat Kazuchika Okada to become a two-time AEW International Champion, capping a bitter split from his former Don Callis Family stablemate and stepping fully out of Okada’s shadow. He simultaneously holds the NJPW World Television Championship, won off El Phantasmo earlier in 2026, making him a dual-title holder operating across three promotions at once.
