On June 1, 2025, Fujita defeated YOH to win the 32nd Best of the Super Juniors tournament, becoming the youngest to ever do so. He broke the record previously held by Will Ospreay, who won the BOSJ in 2016 at age 23.
At New Year Dash!! on January 5, 2026, the Ichiban Sweet Boys won the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship for the second time, lost and regained the titles through April, before dropping them to El Desperado and Místico at Wrestling Dontaku. Fujita is now deep in the 2026 Best of the Super Juniors, having defeated his own Ichiban Sweet Boys partner and B Block winner Robbie Eagles in the semifinals. NJPW is running back last year’s final, with Fujita set to meet YOH again on June 7th, with an IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship shot against current champion DOUKI also on the line.
