About YOH

YOH

Returning to NJPW in October 2017 as one half of Roppongi 3K, YOH and SHO became one of the most successful teams in the junior heavyweight division, capturing the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship five times together and winning the Super Jr. Tag League in three consecutive years (2017, 2018, 2019). He has since added a sixth IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship reign — this one with Master Wato — and two NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team title reigns to his résumé.

YOH fell to Kosei Fujita in the Best of the Super Juniors 32 final in 2025, and is now hunting redemption on the same stage. In Best of the Super Juniors 33, he advanced out of a brutally tight B Block — five wrestlers tied on points — with tiebreaker calculations ultimately sending YOH and Robbie Eagles through. YOH defeated Master Wato in the semi-finals on June 5, setting up a rematch of last year’s final against Kosei Fujita, with YOH desperate to finally claim the tournament trophy.
