/ ABOUT KRIS STATLANDER
An AEW original who cut her teeth on the northeastern indie circuit before signing with the company in 2019, Statlander overcame two major knee injuries during her tenure and ultimately became the first woman in AEW history to hold both the Women's World and TBS Championships. She captured the TBS title by defeating Jade Cargill at Double or Nothing 2023, holding it for 174 days, before later winning the Women's World title at All Out in Toronto, defeating Toni Storm, Jamie Hayter, and Thekla in a four-way match.
She retained the Women's World title against Jamie Hayter at Worlds End on December 27, 2025, before dropping the championship to Thekla on the February 11, 2026 edition of Dynamite. A rematch at AEW Revolution saw Thekla retain via best 2/3 falls, and Statlander has since returned to action in tag competition on Collision.
