About Marina Shafir

A former Invicta FC MMA competitor, Marina Shafir transitioned to pro wrestling after signing with WWE’s NXT brand, where she served as muscle alongside Shayna Baszler before being released in June 2021 and landing in AEW that December. Signed to AEW and a fixture in ROH, Shafir built her reputation on a bruising, submission-heavy style rooted in her judo background, winning the Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport X tournament in April 2024 by submitting Janai Kai in the semis and finishing Lindsay Snow in the finals.

Currently active across AEW, ROH, and the indie circuit, Shafir is a full member of the Death Riders alongside Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, PAC, and Daniel Garcia. She competed in the first-ever Women’s Blood and Guts match in November 2024, coming out on the winning side, and most recently picked up a win over Leila Grey on the May 9, 2025 ROH on HonorClub taping, with ROH continuing to serve as her primary in-ring proving ground.
