Australian powerhouse Mark Davis built his reputation as one half of Aussie Open alongside Kyle Fletcher, capturing the IWGP Tag Team Championship and becoming the inaugural, record-setting two-time Strong Openweight Tag Team Champions in NJPW, while also winning the ROH World Tag Team Championships at Death Before Dishonor in July 2023. In February 2025, Davis became the latest member of the Don Callis Family in AEW, coerced into joining after Don Callis exploited Kyle Fletcher's power of attorney over Davis's contract.
On May 9 at Fairway to Hell, after interference from Ricochet, Davis defeated Jack Perry to win the AEW National Championship, marking his first singles title in AEW. He is now an active champion on the international circuit, with his current AEW National Championship reign ongoing and defenses booked at RevPro, including a scheduled bout against Man Like Dereiss on June 27.
