About Will Ospreay

Will Ospreay

Starting his career on the UK independent circuit in 2012, Ospreay rose to prominence in New Japan Pro Wrestling from 2016 onward as a three-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion and winner of the 2016 and 2019 Best of the Super Juniors. He transitioned to the heavyweight division in 2020 and captured the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. Known for his high-flying, high-risk style dubbed “The Aerial Assassin,” Ospreay holds the record for the most 5-star matches by Dave Meltzer with 55 matches.

Officially joining AEW’s roster in February 2024 after signing with the promotion in November 2023, Ospreay became a two-time AEW International Champion and winner of the 2024 Continental Classic finals. In 2026, he won the Owen Hart Cup and officially joined the Death Riders stable. Ospreay will challenge for the AEW World Championship in the main event of AEW All In London 2026 at Wembley Stadium following his victory in the tournament final, positioning him as a centerpiece of the company’s top title program.
